Senior Associate
Echo Law is a plaintiff firm specialising in class actions against established interests. Founded in 2022, we are a progressive and future-focused practice, with ten class actions currently underway and more in the pipeline.
As the firm grows, we are seeking applications for a Senior Associate to join the team, who will work primarily in the Firm’s shareholder class actions group.
Successful applicants must have:
tertiary qualifications in Law and hold or be eligible to hold a practicing certificate;
a minimum of 6 years PQE;
demonstrated recent experience as a litigator in class actions, large scale, complex and/or commercial matters;
excellent technical legal and analytical skills (through both academic results and workplace experience);
strong civil litigation and financial literacy skills;
outstanding problem solving and collaboration skills;
an interest in class actions and using their skills to provide access to justice, and pursue corporate accountability.
Duties will include:
driving the strategy and day-to-day conduct of one or more class actions;
drafting and settling correspondence and court documents;
coordinating the analysis of and reviewing discovered documents and building case theories;
legal research;
supervision of junior lawyers and paralegals;
liaising with other parties and stakeholders;
briefing counsel as necessary;
preparation of briefs and questions to expert witnesses;
coordinating client and group member communications;
investigations of factual matters relevant to claims (and potential claims).

Employment will be offered on a full-time basis although applications for employment on a part-time basis will be considered. Annual full-time salary will be $192,500 (plus super), plus bonus opportunities. Additional benefits include 5 weeks of recreational leave (4 weeks annual leave plus an additional 5 days paid leave over the New Year shutdown period).
