Yvette Rigby, Associate

Yvette has practiced in public law and litigation since 2017. She began her legal career as a plaintiff lawyer with New Zealand’s indigenous commission of inquiry, the Waitangi Tribunal. She went on to work for the New Zealand government, leading key legislative projects including overhauling the emergency housing system and implementing eviction freezes during COVID-19 lockdowns.

Yvette is passionate about social justice. She has held a range of community leadership roles focused on preventing family violence, increasing access to justice, and advancing workers’ rights.

As an Associate at Echo Law, Yvette works primarily on consumer class actions.
