Lawyer (2+PQE)

Echo Law is a plaintiff firm specialising in class actions against established interests. Founded in 2022, we are a progressive and future-focused practice, with ten class actions currently underway and more in the pipeline.

As the firm grows, we are seeking applications for a Lawyer (with 2+ PQE) to join the team.

Successful applicants must have:

  • tertiary qualifications in Law and hold or be eligible to hold a practicing certificate;

  • a minimum of 2 years PQE;

  • demonstrated recent experience as a litigator in class actions, large scale, complex and/or commercial matters;

  • excellent technical legal and analytical skills (through both academic results and workplace experience);

  • strong civil litigation and financial literacy skills;

  • outstanding problem solving and collaboration skills;

  • an interest in class actions and using their skills to provide access to justice, and pursue corporate accountability.

Duties will include:

  • drafting correspondence and court documents;

  • reviewing discovered documents and analysing significance to case theories;

  • legal research;

  • preparation of briefs and questions to expert witnesses;

  • managing enquiries from clients and group members;

  • investigations of factual matters relevant to claims (and potential claims).

Employment will be offered on a full-time basis although applications for employment on a part-time basis will be considered. Annual full-time salary will be in the range of $120,000 – $145,000 (plus super) depending on PQE, plus bonus opportunities. Additional benefits include 5 weeks of recreational leave (4 weeks annual leave plus an additional 5 days paid leave over the New Year shutdown period).
